L-Acoustics technology featured on French pop star David Hallyday’s nationwide tour across France, covering arenas hosting 3,000-6,000 audience members per night. The mix of pop-rock, electro textures and ballads required clarity, precise stereo imaging and controlled low-frequency performance.
MAWIP, the touring audio company co-managed by FOH engineer Stéphane Plisson, provided the complete system design and implementation for the tour. The touring system included K Series line arrays for main coverage, KS21 and KS28 subwoofers for low-end impact, and K3 and Kara II cabinets for extended coverage and near-field shaping. Additional A15 Wide and X8 cabinets helped maintain tonal continuity across the stage lip.

Audio processing was handled through LA12X amplified controllers and a fully redundant Milan-AVB network, with a P1 processor distributing feeds from a Midas Pro HD96 console. Soundvision software was used to model rigging, coverage, SPL distribution and tonal balance across all venues, helping maintain a consistent sonic signature from show to show.
Stéphane Plisson, front-of-house engineer, MAWIP, said: “I have worked almost exclusively with L-Acoustics since their very first models in 1987. From DOSC and V-DOSC to K1, K2, K3 and now L Series, I’ve followed every step of the brand’s development. For this reason, I choose L-Acoustics on all the tours I mix.”
He added: “Stay flexible, trust your ears, work closely with your system engineer, and never underestimate the importance of low-frequency control. And above all, choose a system you truly know and feel comfortable with — it makes all the difference on tour.”
According to L-Acoustics, the system was designed to be deployed and calibrated efficiently, achieving a full show-ready configuration in around three hours. FOH reference remained stable throughout, delivering consistent coverage across venues, with musicians reporting comfortable in-ear mixes and audiences experiencing immersive sound.
