The new modular installation system – MIS – from KLOTZ is based on 4- and 8-channel XLR modules, and can be wired to multipin modules for 8 to 32 channels. Using the applied 4-channel flat ‘push-on connectors’ with ‘quick-punch-down’ contacts, it is also possible to connect already installed cables direct to XLR modules. The 19in frames, 2RU in height, can carry four modules each in front and rear side, and comprises 32 XLR connectors or four multipin connectors in total. Labelling of the XLR modules can be done using numbered labelling strips available as accessories, or by 6mm self-adhesive writing tape.
