ISE 2017: Crestron to showcase latest meeting room solutions

Crestron will be demonstrating its latest room scheduling solutions and new Skype for Business system at ISE next month.

Firstly, Crestron Room Scheduling is a tool for organisations with multiple conference rooms and meeting spaces. Crestron scheduling touchscreens connect directly to Microsoft Exchange, Google Calendar, and IBM Notes to book impromptu meetings on panels outside of rooms or search for and book spaces based on location, number of attendees, and type of meeting.

The TSW-732 and TSS-752 touchscreens are mounted on the wall outside each room, the bright LED indicators on the panels are clearly visible from long distance, allowing anyone to see if a room is available or in use without walking to each room. Room availability and meeting details are displayed on the 7in screen. If the room is available for the amount of time needed, the room can be booked with one touch. Alternatively, scroll through the room calendar to confirm upcoming meetings, or find open time slots and book the space for future meetings.

“In today’s complex work environment, finding the right meeting space quickly is critical for success,” commented Dan Jackson, Crestron director, enterprise technology. “With Crestron Room Scheduling, you can connect the right people to the right space with the right technology to get your work done.”

Crestron Room Scheduling can be either deployed in the cloud or on-premises. Cloud-based deployment, leveraging Microsoft Azure, is the quickest way to get up and running, and offers the lowest total cost of ownership. Crestron Room Scheduling in the cloud provides tight integration with Microsoft Exchange 2010 or 2013, Microsoft Office 365, and supports Google Calendar.

Crestron will also exhibit its new Skype for Business meeting room system in partnership with Microsoft, which brings an HD audio video experience to small and midsize meeting rooms and spaces, as well as conference rooms. Users can quickly join meetings, make phone calls, instantly share content in room and remotely, all from a touchscreen console device.

“At ISE visitors will be able to see just how we have natively integrated Skype for Business with our AV and room control technology to make a collaboration system that can be easily deployed in huddle rooms and conference rooms across the enterprise. This system can be managed on the network, and provides the seamless, intuitive Skype for Business experience to any meeting space,” stated Fred Bargetzi, Crestron CTO.

“The next generation of Skype Room Systems will bring the Skype Meeting experience to millions of meeting spaces, which today have only displays and conference phones,” said Zig Serafin, corporate VP of Microsoft. “Crestron’s new Skype Room Systems will benefit everyone who is looking to bring the Skype for Business meeting experience to every meeting room.”
