ISE 2013: Advantech highlights new signage with Intel inside

Advantech is showcasing its latest third generation signage platforms at this year's ISE show. The new devices feature Intel Core i technology, helping them to deliver up to 15% more CPU performance.

Advantech is highlighting its latest third generation Intel Core i based signage platforms on its stand at ISE this year, the ARK-DS262 and ARK-DS762.

The technology is said to deliver up to 15% more CPU performance, up to 60% more 3D graphics performance, and up to 1.8x transcode speed via Quick Sync Video.

The compact (200 x 119 x 30 mm) ARK-DS262 signage solution is an IntelOPS (Open Pluggable Specification) platform that Advantech says helps standardise the design and development of media player and display. Development, installation, management, maintenance and upgrade are all said to be easy. The ARK-DS262 is powered by a third generation Intel Core i7/i3 with built-in graphics, and also supports Gigabit Ethernet, a COM port, and two USB3.0 ports

Designed for advanced digital signage projects, the ARK-DS762 combines high processing and graphics performance with rich I/O (including USB 3.0) and extra flexibility via optional expansion modules. The ARK-DS762 can support three HDMI independent displays, and supports Microsoft Kinect technology that, for example, allows a screen to become a virtual interactive mirror that can be controlled with gestures or spoken commands.
