Invision announces Polk Blackstone UK launch

The trade-only AV distributor has also been reflecting on its appearance at the latest edition of the CEDIA Home Technology Event (HTE).

The trade-only AV distributor has also been reflecting on its appearance at the latest edition of the CEDIA Home Technology Event (HTE).

The event provided an opportunity for Invision UK to highlight the latest products from Polk Audio. The new Blackstone TL3 satellites and five-pack TL350 surround speaker system are now available in the UK.

Shown for the first time at this year’s CES, the Polk Blackstone system comprises four matched TL3 Blackstone satellite speakers and a Blackstone TL3c centre channel speaker. The satellites are also available to purchase separately.

Described as a “natural evolution” of Polk’s RM Series of surround sound speakers, the TL350 system incorporates advanced Time Lens Technology to align the acoustic centres of the tweeter and mid-bass drivers for superior imaging. Meanwhile, Dynamic Balance Driver technology and an Aerated Polypropylene Cone (APP) combine to produce a flat frequency response with detail and transparency.

Available in high-gloss black or white finishes, the Blackstone TL3 satellites are molded from an inert high-density resin and housed in a strong, steel-reinforced curved enclosure designed to deliver sound free of cabinet vibrations and less audible colouration from internal surface resonances. Five-way, heavy-duty metal binding posts accept 14-gauge cables, offering hook-up versatility and secure connections with other source components in a home cinema system.

CEDIA HTE also found Invision UK highlighting products from a number of other brands that it represents. Autonomic’s new MMS-2 Mirage Media server is said to have drawn a lot kof interest, while Pakedge’s new WAP-W5N Wireless Access Point and CTL-W5N Wireless Virtualisation Management Controller also received considerable interest. The Mozaex Solo 2 3D all-in-one 12TB server also received its fair share of attention (including from actor/writer Simon Pegg), while Furman’s range of mains conditioning and protection units also drew plaudits.

In other news, Invision UK has recently been appointed distributor for JVC’s range of 3D projectors: the DLA-X3, DLA-X7 and DLA-X9. And for even more recent developments from Invision, click here.
