Historic cricket screen install for displayLED

Providing a wealth of visual material, including scoreboard information, advertising messages and video replays, the digiLED screen was built to a custom size using LED tiles inserted into bespoke modules. The installation also employs digiPRO HD video processing supplied by displayLED and a scoring control system provided by Technographics.

Guy Horrigan, sales director of displayLED, told II: “Developments underway at YCCC, including the new Carnegie Pavilion, will reinforce the club’s position as one of the world’s leading cricket venues. As such, we are proud to be part of the project. The ability of the digiLED video screen and/or scoreboard to bring the fans closer to the action while providing the club with a new marketing medium will help them both enhance the match day experience and generate additional revenue from sponsorship, advertising and the promotion of the club’s own merchandise.”

Stewart Regan, chief executive of YCCC, added: “We are delighted with the new digiLED screen. [It] will add real value to the match day experience for our supporters bringing scores, video replays and sponsors’ logos to the fans. It is also another vital piece of the jigsaw needed in satisfying the criteria for staging major international cricket events.”
