Common to both drivers is an annular phase plug designed to improve high-frequency performance and a magnet assembly design based on neodymium slugs which, according to FaitalPRO, maintains performance while lowering costs.
The HF144 (pictured) delivers an SPL of 110dB (1W@1m) over a 700Hz to 18kHz range, while the HF204 produces 109dB (1W@1m) across a 500Hz to 18kHa range. The HF204 incorporates a Ketone-polymer diaphragm and is designed for use with a 2in horn.
According to FaitalPRO, the lightweight, damped polymer diaphragm of the two HF drivers produces a less aggressive tone than comparable units.
