The MLC 62 RS EU MediaLink Controller controls AV equipment in classrooms and meeting rooms, and mounts in a single size European junction box. The controller (pictured) features eight customisable backlit soft-touch buttons providing control for common AV functions, including display power, input switching and volume control.

Extron notes that the controller serves as a replacement for a display’s handheld IR remote, providing user-friendly control for a projector or flat-panel display, as well as eliminating problems associated with misplaced IR remotes, confusing menus and dead batteries.

The MLC 62 RS EU provides IR and unidirectional RS-232 for universal display control, two relays for controlling screens and lights, and a digital input for interfacing with switches and sensors. The controller is available in RAL9010 White and a matching cover frame is included.

Extron’s VP of marketing Europe, Rainer Stiehl, told II: “The new MLC 62 RS EU controller is an easy-to-use keypad controller for controlling AV equipment in classrooms and meeting facilities that mounts in a single size European junction box. Like the MLC 52 series, the MLC 62 RS EU provides a simple method of control, but now includes expanded control and configuration capabilities along with an elegant look that will complement any environment. The MLC 62 RS EU can be easily configured using Extron’s intuitive configuration software.”
