“The whole industry has a duty to improve working conditions and to reduce the risk of accidents wherever possible,” said senior technical manager Luke Manning.
In total, the venue now uses 100 intelligent luminaires. Manning says that the specification of the Revolutions had much to do with their tungsten lamps. “Finding an intelligent wash light isn’t too difficult – there are plenty of those around – but orchestras that come in here demand tungsten for its colour.”
ETC’s luminaires product manager Tom Littrell told II: “We’re delighted to be able to supply the ETC Source Four Revolution to such a prestigious venue. Revolution is the automated variant of the Source Four – the global standard for profile luminaires. On-board dimming, integrated gel scroller and QuietDrive technology make Revolution ideal for theatre and concert hall applications. And Revolution’s tungsten source complements every other tungsten luminaire in the Royal Albert Hall.”
