Dynalite illuminating mainland China’s tallest building

Dynalite provided integrated lighting control systems for 12 of the 101 floors. In total, 330 dimmed circuits were installed, using dual-ported Dynalite DLE1220 leading-edge controllers, along with 80 relay-switched circuits using Dynalite DRC1220 relay controllers. Dynalite DWPE user panels were deployed throughout, and all components were linked via Dynalite’s peer-to-peer communications serial bus network, DyNet.

In addition, Dynalite provided blind controls in the 174 rooms of the tower’s Park Hyatt Hotel, deploying a combination of the Dynalite DDCM802 multipurpose and DDRC810DT blind controllers.

Dynalite’s area manager – North Asia, Simon Richardson, told II: “To meet the energy management criteria, the meeting rooms and break-out areas at the Shanghai World Financial Centre were designed to have cutting-edge lighting control, with integration to AV and DMX systems built-in. The system allows an external DMX theatrical lighting controller to temporarily assume control when plugged in – an important feature for certain special events. The Dynalite solution facilitates this by incorporating a factory-fitted DMX port into the controllers, precluding the need for unwieldy interfaces, and making onsite configuration extremely straightforward.”
