Dynacord TGX series amps power TW AUDiO sound system for Glastonbury’s Avalon Stage

For this year's festival, WaveCo Productions selected the manufacturer's TGX10 and TGX20 amps to drive the TW AUDiO sound system, backed up by SONICUE Sound System Software

WaveCo Productions once again relied on Dynacord TGX series amplifiers to drive the TW AUDiO sound system for the Avalon Stage during Glastonbury 2025 in June. The system was backed up by SONICUE Sound System Software which provided a flexible and user-friendly solution to design, monitor and control the sound system as required.

WaveCo has been supplying the Avalon Stage’s sound and lighting systems for the last four years, using the combination of Dynacord amplifiers and TW AUDiO loudspeakers in 2025 and 2024. For this year’s setup, WaveCo selected VERA36 vertical array speakers for the main hangs and delays with low frequency support from VERA S33 subwoofers. The production company relied on T24N cabinets with BSX subs to serve as fills. Power for the system saw around 20 Dynacord amplifiers called into action with TGX20 amplifiers used to cover the bass with TGX10 used for the VERA36 and T24N enclosures.

Delivering a total power of up to 20 kW from a single amplifier, Dynacord’s TGX 4-channel amplifiers are one of the most powerful on the market. “TGX are very powerful amplifiers with no shortage of headroom,” said Iain Rendle director at WaveCo Productions. “They are also very reliable. Even during setup there was not a single problem to sort out, it’s just plugged in and it’s worked.”

One of the advantages that WaveCo found from using the combination of the brands was that Dynacord amplifiers have built-in presets for TW AUDiO loudspeakers. “The sound that we get from the Dynacord amplifiers has a big effect on the speakers,” added Greg Oliver, head of operations, sales and support for TW AUDiO UK. “They give us a big sound that is full and warm and just how a TW AUDiO system should sound.”

SONICUE Sound System Software formed a key component for the whole setup. “Running SONICUE at front of house gives us a complete overview of how the system is performing,” noted Rendle. “The monitoring is absolutely fantastic. For Avalon we use different levels throughout the day due to the forever changing crowd sizes. It was very easy to run out into the field and have a quick listen, then make the small tweaks to things like the outfills and delays. It’s a very intuitive system to work with.”

Tobias Goldmann, head of support at TW AUDiO, added: “I’ve worked with a lot of different amplifier platforms and what I really like about the SONICUE and Dynacord infrastructure is that it is stable and fast. It’s not an issue to create a preset on any amplifier platform, but my main interest as a support engineer and a development engineer is to have an infrastructure where you can quickly set up a stable system that will be reliable.”

Reflecting on the combination of equipment that served the eclectic mix of artists well over three days, James Cooper, field sales engineer at Dynacord, concluded: “It has been fantastic to work alongside the TW AUDiO team on site to make sure that WaveCo was getting the best out of the sound system. To me, Avalon has never sounded better, and that comes from great gear being used by master technicians.”
