Daktronics delivers LED displays for Pakistan cricket stadiums

The six new video displays at the stadiums of Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi were installed in time for the international ICC Champions Trophy, which recently concluded

Daktronics and Quadra Technologies, the company’s representative in Pakistan, recently completed a large-scale renovation project to deliver six LED video displays to three stadiums for the Pakistan Cricket Board, in time for the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy. Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi stadiums each received new displays to elevate the fan experience.

A total of over 850sqm of LED displays was installed in these three stadiums. All displays feature 10mm pixel spacings to bring image clarity to viewers throughout the stadiums. The images boast up to 10,000 nit brightness.

Each stadium received a Daktronics Show Control system to integrate the displays and streamline the live event production. This control system provides a combination of display control software, video processing, data integration and playback hardware to form production solution.

These displays are each capable of variable content zoning which allows each to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones of content. This content can be live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, game information, graphics, animations or sponsorship messages.

Khurram Khaliq, CEO of Quadra Technologies, said: “Quadra Technology is proud to be Daktronics’ representative for the Pakistan region, working closely with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to enhance the spectator experience for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. With over a billion viewers worldwide, this prestigious tournament demanded world-class technology. The PCB carefully reviewed Daktronics’ products and selected them as the best supplier of scoreboards globally.

He added: “As a result, state-of-the-art screens were installed at Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi cricket stadiums, delivering unparalleled graphics, video content and animations to elevate the game-day experience. The Quadra Technology and Daktronics teams installed the LED systems in these three stadiums in a fast-paced project, finalising procurement to operation in less than 90 days.”
