The official opening of the facility – which is located at Crestron’s world HQ in Rockleigh, New Jersey, US – took place earlier this week. Marking the completion of the company’s first four decades, the “immersive” Experience Center provides a space to introduce clients to Crestron, meet Crestron executives, collaborate with system designers, and demonstrate the latest technology.
The 8,000sqft suite features an atrium-style reception area, multimedia presentation room, videoconferencing boardroom, Theo Kalomirakis Home Theater and an interactive design lab.
Designed by Andres Escobar, the Experience Center incorporates an extensive specification of the latest AV equipment. Key points of the installation – among many others – include a 7.1 ceiling surround system in the reception room, a Digital Projection dVision projector and Pioneer HD display in the presentation room and executive boardroom, and Crestron PROCISE 7.3 HD surround processing in the Theo Kalomirakis Home Theater.
“These aren’t simulated or mock application vignettes,” assured Crestron director of marketing Vincent Bruno. “These are actual installed systems in real, fully operational rooms. No cost was spared and no detail was overlooked, right down to the modern designer bathroom, which is also Crestron-controlled.”
In addition, Crestron has announced the introduction of appointment-only tours of the company’s Research Center, manufacturing plant, pre-production facility and worldwide distribution centre.
