Crestron is exhibiting an three audio solutions at Prolight + Sound, including its Sommex system which can transmit up to 48 channels of uncompressed 24-bit HD audio over a CAT5e cable.

Creston is showcasing three of its latest audio delivery systems at Prolight + Sound this year at is stand in hall 9, booth B20.

Designed for multi-rom audio distribution, Crestron’s Sonnex system (pictured) can transmit up to 48 channels of uncompressed 24-bit HD audio across a single CAT5e cable. According to the company, the system executes high-performance digital audio processing, full-matrix switching and high-powered amplification into a single component.

Also on display is PROCISE, an audio processing device that has an integrated PSPHD high-definition 7.3 surround sound audio processor. The unit can be paired with the company’s Proamp amplifiers using an Ethernet connection, this enables full control to arrive from the PSPHD front panel, which features graphical display of audio and diagnostics.

Crestron’s 3-Series processor, engineered like an IT platform rather than an AV system, delivers a cloud-based architecture for audio signal processing. The innovation of 3-Series is said to harness more processing power, faster speeds, more memory, enhanced security and powerful multitasking capabilities.

Also on show at the Crestron stand will be a range of touch panel controllers for the simple intuitive control of sound levels, lighting scenes and all other aspects of automation.

Crestron, which recently introduced a new range of wireless dimmers, is able to offer sound engineers, stage technicians, lighting specialists and event managers full control of all systems at the touch of a button or swipe of a touch screen.
