Crestron revealed its latest tablet touch screen at CEDIA 2012. The new device is packed with features including Core 3 UI graphics, edge-to-edge glass and built-in Rava SIP Intercom technology.

Crestron showcased its new Core 3 UI powered family of tablet-sized, intercom-equipped touch screens at CEDIA EXPO 2012.

Available in 5in, 7in and 10in models, the ultra-thin TSW collection features ultra-bright high resolution graphics, capacitive touch screen technology, edge-to-edge glass, Core 3 UI graphics, and H.264 streaming video. All models install on a standard wall box to satisfy the requirements of custom integrators, interior designers, and tech savvy homeowners.

In addition, built-in Rava SIP Intercom technology provides full duplex intercom, VoIP telephone, and group paging functionality. The 7in TSW-750 is available now, while the 5in TSW-550 and 10in TSW-1050 are scheduled to ship first quarter of next year.

“The TSW family of touch screens features the gorgeous design elements of today’s popular mobile devices, advanced high resolution graphics and animations, and highly responsive performance to deliver an incredible user experience,” said Robin van Meeuwen, VP of sales and .arketing at Crestron Internatioanl. “Available screen sizes and pricing is comparable to latest consumer tablets with the power and reliability of Crestron control.”

Powered by Core 3 UI, users can interact with animated and 3D GUI effects and gestures navigation to swipe, scroll, drag, and drop, while browsing through music and movie libraries, TV/radio stations and control apps. Kinetic effects provide an interactive experience when using custom knobs, sliders, and gauges to adjust and monitor any system in the home including heating and cooling systems, lighting, home theatres, multiroom audio, security cameras and any other connected device.
