Crest Audio powers Bali electronic music festival

US manufacturer's Versarray line arrays and Pro-LITE amplifiers provided Stage 3 audio at Day Zero – an underground electronic music event, which drew 9,000 attendees to the Indonesian island

Crest Audio provided the audio infrastructure for Stage 3 at Day Zero Bali, the first appearance of Damian Lazarus’ underground electronic music festival on the Indonesian island. The event drew 9,000 attendees across multiple stages, featuring artists including Acid Pauli, AME DJ and Anthony Middleton.

The Stage 3 system comprised Versarray 112 Pro, Versarray 215 Pro and Versarray 218 Pro line arrays, with CPL+ loudspeakers handling delay coverage. The system was driven by Crest Audio Pro-LITE amplifiers and PCX processors. Front-of-house operation was handled by Peavey’s Bali partner Vilon Group Bali throughout the event.

Dean Morris, from Vilon Group Bali, said: “Whether it is for permanent installs or rentals for festivals such as Day Zero, the reliability and versatility of the Crest product in handling different genres of music is second to none.”

Akshay Vaida, director of Peavey APAC, added: “EDM is a genre that can be extremely demanding for sonic hardware – to power through 48 hours of continuous performance with zero issues is testament to the build quality of our Crest Audio and Peavey hardware.”

Following the success of the inaugural Bali edition, organisers are expected to establish Day Zero Bali as an annual event.
