CODA Audio’s G515-Pro loudspeakers and LINUS DSP amplification have been installed at the Piotr Wieczorek Municipal Stadium in Gliwice, home of Ekstraklasa club Piast Gliwice. Polish audio specialist Tommex designed and installed the system to provide both speech intelligibility and high-SPL music playback across all four covered stands.
The two-way G515-Pro units feature a 15in neodymium woofer and a 1in neodymium compression driver coupled to a 90° x 60° rotatable elliptical waveguide, with a power handling of 600W. Marine-grade weatherproofed versions were used throughout, mounted in the roof areas of each stand using CODA’s horizontal u-bracket accessory. The system is driven by CODA Audio LINUS 12C and LINUS 6.4i DSP amplifiers.
Michał Kozioł, commercial proxy at Gliwicki Klub Sportowy Piast, said: “Replacing the sound system was crucial for us and significantly expanded our capabilities. We had received feedback from fans pointing out that at certain moments the sound in some sections was not sufficiently audible. Now, we can build the atmosphere of a match not only through visuals but also with top-level sound quality.”
