CEDIA Expo – Teletask gets smaller

Teletask, and its UK distribution, training and support organisation, Domotics Ltd, are jointly hosting a stand at the Cedia Expo for the first time. Belgian company Teletask has been developing and expanding its Domotics smart home control and automation system for 25 years.

Teletask now offers a comprehensive family of intelligent control devices, actuators, user interfaces and software modules that can integrate, monitor and control any type of equipment from virtually any manufacturer, says the company

The stand is actively demonstrating and displaying most of Teletask╒s products including the Micros central processor unit, of which many thousands are in use around the World, Teletask claims.

Micros is joined by a new unit, the Nanos. The DIN-rail mounted Nanos is intended for very small installations, such as one or two-bedroom flats, and for very large installations such as hotels or office blocks with hundreds of suites or rooms. In the latter case, several Nanos units (one per floor for example) would be linked via a bus cable to a central BMS display.

Both Micros and Nanos have Ethernet ports offering domotics monitoring and control functionality over a LAN, WAN, wi-fi or the internet and via smart-phone, iphone or iPod-touch. This DoIP (Domotics over Internet Protocol) feature is very attractive for building owners and users, as well as for installers and system maintenance contractors, as it reduces call-outs.

Other new products on show include elegant 8-button, glass fronted touch panels, incorporating capacitive touch and OLED display technologies, visual feed-back LEDs, an audio feedback buzzer, background illumination to highlight the outline of the buttons in the dark, an infrared receiver and a temperature sensor.

Teletask is presenting an introductory seminar at the Expo╒s Trade Supplier Training Forum on Wednesday 24th June.
