Genelec is exhibiting at CEDIA Expo in partnership with new UK distributor for custom installation, Source Distribution. Genelec has a 30 year heritage in recording and broadcast loudspeaker systems and is introducing a range of products to the UK CI industry.
Exhibiting at CEDIA Expo this year provides a twofold benefit for us,î said Terho Savolainen, marketing manager at Genelec. ìFirstly, weíll have the perfect launch platform for showcasing our exciting range of custom installation products ñ and Iím sure that dealers and installers are going to be impressed with the outstanding performance and build quality that we can offer. And secondly, it is an ideal opportunity for us to promote our relationship with Source Distribution and the many benefits that together we can deliver to the UK custom installation sector.î
Genelec has been one of the pioneers in using active loudspeaker technology to gain higher acoustic output, lower distortion and greater dynamics than comparable passive speakers designs. Other innovations include the Gebelec Directivity Control Waveguide. This is designed to provide broad, flat coverage with precise imaging in real-life rooms, while Practical Room Response Controls optimise the speakersí tonal characteristics to suit the room environment and in-built overload protection safeguards reliability. A 12V contact closure also allows seamless integration with any home automation or control system.
On show is the Active 2-Way Speaker System series ñ said to be a natural choice for residential installation. The range consists of five products designed to suit a variety of tastes and budget. It ranges from the compact 6010A and 6020A to the HT210B, which is aimed at the most demanding home cinema requirements
Also showing, the Architectural Series of loudspeakers comprises in-wall, in-ceiling and on-wall options, while the Active Three-Way Loudspeakers are compact, powerful, active loudspeakers, capable of delivering performance that can match much larger systems, says the manufacturer. Genelec ës active subwoofer systems are also on display.
