Lighting control and automation group Dynalite is showcasing a wide range of control system elements and software designed for residential ësmart homeí applications. This includes controllers, user panels and network interfacing components to facilitate ìadvanced levelsî of lighting control and integration with third-party control systems, says the company.

ìItís all about installation and control flexibility,î said Paul Wilmshurst, managing director, Dynalite Europe. ìMoreover, in residential applications, homeowners want systems to be user friendly. The best way of meeting such needs is to integrate all the automated services – including AV, curtains, blinds and temperature control – into a single system with a single user interface.î

Central to the Dynalite exhibit is the companyís latest modular multipurpose controller range (DDMC series). Intended for home automation and hotel suite control applications, the controllers feature a hardware-configurable design, where plug-in output cards accommodate specific loads assigned to the system.

A single controller can be configured to support a range of loads, including trailing-edge or leading-edge phase control dimmers, HF ballast control (individually programmable DALI, 1-10V and DSI), relay control, fan and curtain control.

Dynalite is also exhibiting what it claims to be ìone of the worldís most flexible and intelligent 10/100Base T Ethernet interfacesî, the 100BT Ethernet gateway series. This provides Ethernet connectivity between DyNet (Dynaliteís peer-to-peer communications serial bus network), Dynalite control systems and third-party technologies. Dynaliteís RS-232 serial port interface is also featured.

The Dynalite Revolution Series 2 user control panels is being exhibited at Expo. Featuring a slimline design, the new user control panels boast a wide range of grid and button configurations, colours, cover finishes and backlighting options, including dynamic OLED text display. Panel fascias can be provided in practically any surface medium, while button caps can be engraved and backlit, providing dÈcor-matching flexibility.

Another of Dynaliteís user-interface solutions is the Revolution colour touch screens, showing alongside DLight III MapView site management software, and DLight II programming software.

ï Dynalite Dimension is a new dealer accreditation and training framework. It is designed to provide standardised training, improved access to technical support, and essential marketing support to all accredited companies and individuals.
