Carlo Gavazzi introduces new smart-house app

The new app from the residential technology manufacturer enables everyday control of smart-house systems via iPod, iPhone and iPad devices.

Automated component developer Carlo Gavazzi has introduced its first ever app for iPod, iPhone and iPad users to facilitate the control and management of smart homes.

The intuitive, easy-to-use application will allow iPad and iPhone owners who have a smart-house system to configure either remotely or locally lighting schemes, temperature settings, and blind positionings. Moreover it will enable users to run task-specific customised macros, check alarms – such as intruder alarms – in their home or help detect leaks such as water or gass and more.

The iPhone can double up as a remote control interface, while the iPad can also work as a touchscreen wall mounted device. The app can be downloaded through iTunes. Once downloaded the user searches for the controller, once the controller has been selected the app reads all the pre- configured set points and provides an easy to use graphical user interface.
