Martin Audio’s AQ architectural series was selected to meet the requirements for a high-quality, compact and visually unobtrusive loudspeaker system. The eight-zone system includes multiples of AQ8 enclosures and AQ210 subs in the high-performance areas, while smaller AQ5 and AQ6 speakers have been fitted in the take-away and bar/lounge areas, respectively.
Other equipment installed in the second Caribbean Scene restaurant includes a retractable Soundcraft MFX8 mixing desk on a concealed tray, and a BSS Soundweb BLU DSP environment touch panel for all DSP requirements.
“David Graham [SDG’s managing director] recommended the Martin AQ loudspeakers, which both sound good and are sufficiently stylish to fit within the design aesthetic,” said Caribbean Scene chairman/CEO Patrick March_.
Lauched at the PLASA Show in 2004, the AQ Series family was designed to suit a range of professional applications, including nightclubs, conference facilities, post-production suites, theatres, educational institutions, places of worship, museums and exhibition centres.
