A ‘step-up’ in terms of size and performance potential from the SoundWare XS 5.1 package, the SoundWare ‘S’ 5.1 home cinema speaker system is new from Boston Acoustics.
The SoundWare S 5.1 comes with five satellite speakers measuring 13x13cm (which are 2cm larger than those on the XS set, allowing for a larger 9cm mid/bass driver and bigger 19mm tweeter) in either high-gloss white or black finish.
Partnering wall brackets with stylish covers, and rear-panel wire grooves, allow for easy hook-up and design flexibility. Meanwhile, the matching 10-inch (254mm) ported subwoofer comes with a 200-watt (300-watt peak) amplifier, which means its driver is two inches larger than that of its smaller sibling – and delivers twice the power.
The SRP for the SoundWare S 5.1 system is £509.90, while an additional pair of satellite speakers is available for £139.90.
