AVMI is Microsoft Surface Hub strategic partner

Integrator AVMI has joined the small number of companies that have been awarded strategic partner status by Microsoft for the upcoming release of its Surface Hub.

Integrator AVMI has joined the small number of companies that have been awarded strategic partner status by Microsoft for the upcoming release of its Surface Hub.

Originally scheduled for release this autumn but subsequently postponed to 1 January 2016, the launch of Microsoft Surface Hub is being eagerly awaited by many. With innovations in touch display and its built-in software including Skype for Business, Microsoft Office and OneNote, the product is designed to deliver a more interactive and engaging experience, and so make group meetings more productive.

Microsoft Surface Hub will form an integrated component of AVMI’s portfolio of workspace collaboration products and services – including the new True Collaboration suite of meeting room solutions and AVMI’s service framework – to help customers make the most of their Surface Hub deployment.

Jason Turner, business innovation director at AVMI, commented; “Microsoft Surface Hub is a solution that encompasses the true meaning of collaboration and is sure to be a game changer in empowering group collaboration with its interactive touch display and innovative camera tracking technology. AVMI has been a pioneer in delivering interactive and collaborative workspaces for many years and we are excited to be working with Microsoft to bring greater collaboration to the group.”

Mike Angiulo, corporate vice president, Microsoft Devices, added: “Just as the PC revolutionised productivity for individuals, Surface Hub will transform the way groups of people work together.”

AVMI is accepting pre-orders today and is taking bookings for pre-launch demonstrations.
