Audica Pro’s MICROseries Fresh in New York

Audica Professional's MICROseries has been implemented at the flagship Fresh store in New York. The lifestyle company believes that music is fundamental to the shopping experience.

Audica Professional’s MICROseries audio system has been installed into one of Fresh’s high-end lifestyle and beauty flagship US stores in Union Square, New York City. The international chain, which first opened its doors in Boston in 1991, sells a range of products for skincare, bodycare, makeup, hair care and Home. The store required a solution that met limited spatial requirements and nestled into the highly reflective space. Designed and installed by New York City integrator EL Media Group, Audica’s MICROseries system comprises two MICROpoint and four MICROline loudspeakers, all of which are ceiling mounted using Audica’s propriety hardware. The system is supplemented by a MICROsub active subwoofer which drives bass, while power arrives from one Audica MICROzone amplifier/controller and a MICROplus 4-channel power amp. Ernie Lake, EL’s creative chief operator explains: “It’s a highly reflective space, but Audica is incredible for that. Also, their surface mount hardware is very easy to use and allows us to place speakers exactly where we need to. “I also like Audica’s digital amps. We prefer to wire in 8 Ohms to provide better sound quality and a wider range of frequencies and this is an easy system to put together in that configuration. For the size of the speaker there’s nothing out there that sounds as good.” Fresh co-founder Alina Roytberg comments: “You never want your customers to hear their own steps, but you don’t want to distract customers from what our associates are saying either.
