Loaded on a Modero Touch Panel, this new tool enables automatic configuration of meeting or conference room control systems by answering a series of wizard-based questions. AMX is set to demonstrate the tool in conjunction with a number of components at InfoComm 2010 this week.

The AMXmeetingroom configuration tool is an advanced, easy-to-use solution that configures a control system, generates system configuration files, adds source device modules, updates program files already loaded on the AMX NetLinx Central Controller, and updates the user interface on the Modero Touch Panel.

At InfoComm, AMX will showcase the combined AMXmeetingroom, DVX and HydraPort solution in the InfoComm booth with a Vegas-style contest entitled ‘AMX Jackpot! Challenge’. The competition encourages InfoComm attendees to ‘Take a Minute to Win It’ with participants winning items including iPads and, as the grand prize, a Smart Car.

“AMXmeetingroom is definitely going to change the way our integrators run their businesses in a good way,” commented Rashid Skaf, AMX president and CEO. “Now integrators will be able to complete multiple installations with greater consistency, reliability and efficiency than ever before possible.”

Chief technology officer Robert Noble added: “AMX continues to take a leading role in control system innovation by providing solutions that simplify installations. AMXmeetingroom redefines the

installation workflow as it takes the programming out of conference room A/V while reducing the installation process from an average of 40 hours per room to two.”
