Responsibility for the lighting/visual installation was given to Lightco, while fellow Ampco Group company TM Audio oversaw the sound.
The lighting specification is based around eight PR Lighting XL575 moving heads, chosen to suit a vast array of commitments, from DJ sets to rock gigs. Making use of a Philips MSI 575W short arc discharge lamp enhanced by a high-quality and efficient optical system, the XL575 facilitates a variety of high impact lighting effects. Operated from a Flying Pig Systems Road Hog console and powered by ETC SmartPak dimmers, the fixtures are divided equally between the stage and the dancefloor.
The sound system, meanwhile, incorporates some equipment from PopEi’s previous location alongside newly purchased kit from TM Audio, including the new Martin Audio LE1200 and LE1500 stage monitors.
PopEi’s head of technology, Rob Bours, commented: “I chose TM Audio and Lightco because they were the only companies that really helped us along the way – even before we were ready to place the order – and I needed people who could really advise us, particularly on the lighting.”
