Absen LED drives Danish DJ’s record-breaking arena show

A total of 448sqm of JP5 Pro rental panels provided the visual backdrop for largest DJ set by a Danish artist at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena, with 16,000 fans attending TooManyLeftHand's five-hour show

Absen’s JP5 Pro rental LED panels provided the visual backdrop for a five-hour electronic dance music event at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena, deployed by Danish AV specialist Profox for headline act TooManyLeftHands. The 448sqm screen installation is described as the largest DJ set by a Danish artist in the venue’s history.

The JP5 Pro features a 5.2mm pixel pitch, brightness of up to 5,000 nits, 16-bit greyscale, a 7,680Hz refresh rate and 8,500:1 contrast ratio. Designed for touring and live events, the panels use an 8-in-1 dolly shipping system with two-layer stacking for efficient transport, and are designed for fast build times and flexible staging configurations.

Mikkel Rodkjær, CEO of Profox, said: “The screen delivered the impact, clarity and consistency we needed in this full-scale arena environment. The whole build-up and show day ran exactly as planned – it helped us realise the creative vision and give the audience an experience that felt truly world-class.”

Rasmus Stoltenberg Sørensen, head of LED at Profox, added: “With Absen, the experience was significantly different from a previous project with a competitor – fast, clear communication, dependable follow-through and a genuinely positive partnership throughout.”
