ZeeVee, a US manufacturer of digital video encoder/modulators, has announced a UK distribution agreement with Pixels, a supplier of HD and standard definition digital media players, decoders, encoders and visual display technology for professional markets. ZeeVee products convert video sources into digital cable channels that they can be broadcast over existing coax infrastructure and received directly by any off-the-shelf HDTV. Pixels will distribute the new HDBridge 2000 Series, developed specifically for the DVB-C and DVB-T digital TV distribution markets in Europe. The HDBridge 2000 units offer compatibility with existing technologies to reduce costs, while also enabling faster deployment and advanced management. Units, each of which broadcasts up to four HD (1080p/i or 720p) channels, can be easily combined to distribute hundreds of channels to an unlimited number of HDTVs. The new HD encoders/modulators feature commercial-grade DIN connectors that fan to both digital and analogue audio for maximum flexibility, and component and composite video. The result is dramatically reduced wiring in the rack, faster deployments and easier diagnostics. “Since announcing internationally compatible products at ISE 2013, ZeeVee has received tremendous interest from dealers and end users,” said Bob Michaels, ZeeVee’s senior vice president of worldwide sales. “Pixels is staffed by industry professionals with vast experience in digital video and computer display technologies, and can perfectly represent our product line as we expand throughout the region.” “ZeeVee’s products offer a simple and affordable opportunity for customers to migrate from standard definition to HD video while leverage existing infrastructure,” added Norman Garland, managing director/CEO of Pixels. “Consequently, we are seeing demand for digital modulation accelerating rapidly.” Other ZeeVee distributors in Europe are IMS – Interactive Media Solutions in Russia, Alenacom in Italy, MVS Video in the Netherlands, Videlco in Germany and Markertek in the UK. www.zeevee.com
