In other news, long-serving Yamaha Commercial Audio staff member Karl Christmas has been appointed to the role of senior manager.
Available from early autumn, the VS series products will be sold in two models – the VS4 and VS6 – in either black or white finishes. Both feature a sleek, functional design with weatherproof enclosures which meet the industry standard IEC60529 IPX3 rating.
Suitable for a wide variety of applications, including background music or as part of a distributed PA system for announcements, VS Series speakers feature 4” (VS4) or 6.5” (VS6) drivers, along with 1% balance dome tweeters. Internally mounted transformers allow them to operate in 70V or 100V distributed sound systems, while an overload protection circuit is provided to protect the speaker components. Both units can be installed horizontally or vertically, using an included colour-matched steel U-bracket.

Meanwhile, the new role for Karl Christmas sees him adding to his existing responsibilities for the Commercial Audio Sales Team, dealer partners and user support. With input on the company’s European marketing activities, Christmas will help to maximise advertising, PR and online communications.
