“The US Patent granted to X2O supports our core belief that if complex content creation is approached from a simple perspective, even non-technical users can produce professional, compelling content,” Maria Porco, X2O’s vice-president of business development, told II. “Obtaining the patent strengthens our position as an innovator in the digital signage industry and solidifies our unique approach to content creation.”
The company declined to offer a comment, however, to II’s enquiry about the possibility of a European patent application.
Integrating directly with Microsoft PowerPoint, X2O Media’s Xpresenter solution enables digital signage operators to produce broadcast-quality graphics that incorporate video, animations, clip art galleries and real-time data sources. The product includes a library of graphics templates, custom control panels, video clip previewing, and tools for the rapid resizing of presentations to fit various display screens and monitors.
