QSC has become a global sponsor of Rise AV, an organisation focused on advancing gender diversity and professional development across the audiovisual sector. The company says the partnership is designed to support the creation of a more inclusive industry.

Rise AV, an extension of the Rise Women in Broadcast initiative, addresses skills shortages and lack of equal opportunities for women in the AV industry. The organisation operates programmes including the Mentoring Programme and the Elevate Leadership Accelerator, which are designed to support women and underrepresented talent in building leadership capabilities. Rise has over 3,000 members worldwide in technical, engineering, operations, marketing, sales and executive roles.
As a global sponsor, QSC will support Rise AV initiatives that are designed to deliver mentorship and leadership development, provide education and training, and create networking opportunities. Rise AV is launching operations in APAC, an initiative that QSC says it will contribute to.
Rachael Hamilton, managing director, Rise AV, said: “The AV industry is facing a critical skills shortage, a lack of gender diversity, and barriers to career progression – threatening its future growth. Rise AV is tackling these challenges head-on with initiatives that upskill professionals, support leadership development, and create a more inclusive, innovative workforce.
“For businesses, investing in diversity and professional development isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s a strategic advantage. Supporting Rise AV helps companies attract and retain top talent while addressing one of the industry’s biggest challenges: securing the next generation of leaders.”
