US-based cinema chain Cobb Theatres has detailed plans to roll out further deployments of Barco’s Auro 11.1 immersive audio following positive feedback from two of its sites already installed with the technology.
Cobb Theatre focuses on the cinema experience by offering speciality cocktails and gourmet restaurant quality food at 19 of its locations across south eastern US. The company sees the selection of the Auro 11.1 package as a natural extension in providing a first class cinema experience. Further support for Barco audio came from audiences attending Cobb Theatre cinemas already installed with the technology – located in Lakeland, Florida and Leesburg, Virginia – who have thus far given a positive reaction.
