URC – One language unites them all

URC has announced that installers can now use the CCP universal programming platform to program routines for all URC remotes and RF base stations.

With CCP, installers need only one programming language and one file to get the job done.

In a move that the company claims is set to allow installers to take ‘better advantage of the versatility and breadth of URC’s full line’, CCP enables them to undertake fast and efficient programming. For example, an installer can use CCP’s highly configurable workspace to program an entire house full of different remotes and base stations in one file.

Drivers for all supported URC remotes are included, and CCP sorts URC products naturally by the room in which each resides. There are also a host of other features, including Undo/Redo, Mirror and Copy; LCD button editor; gallery views for drag-and-drop additions of devices and favourite channel logos; and the addition of all programming manuals to the ‘Help’ menu.

CCP also accepts Live Updates that automatically install new features and expand product support.

URC installers can download the new CCP software from the URC Control Room (URC notes that the MX-3000 is not and cannot be part of CCP for technical reasons. Older MX-3000 programs created with the MX-3000 standalone editor cannot be opened in CCP.)
