Ocean Media Group is to launch a new trade exhibition specifically for the event sector – the UK Venue Show.
Taking place 1-2 February, the show is designed to kick off 2012’s season for the event market and will maintain a central London focus with Olympia as its home. The new show will run in tandem with sister exhibition the Event Production Show and has already drawn the support of the Association of Event Venues (AEV).
According to the organisers, the UK Venue Show is set to be a focal point for buyers and decision makers of the wide gamete that makes up the live event sector; from corporate events and product launches to seasonal parties and personal milestone events.
The UK Venue Show will provide a professional hosted buyers programme for pre-selected and approved budget holders of events. Visibility of the show will be maximised through Ocean Media Group’s extensive product portfolio which already includes Access All Areas, the Event Production Show and industry bible the White Book.
“Running alongside the Event Production Show, staying in central London and capitalising on the increasing strength of the UK domestic market means we have an excellent USP – quite simply to give people exactly what they want and have been asking for,” said Tanya Cohen, event director, UK Venue Show (pictured). “We anticipate over 250 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors over two days in year one – with lots of exciting plans still to be announced.”
