UK-based media server manufacturer Theatron Media has appointed Aldous Systems as its exclusive UK distributor.
Theatron produces a range of media servers from stand-alone units to full multi-user systems. The OrbitHD is the starting point and is equipped with 2TB of storage (expandable up to 6TB) and support of full 1080p Blu-ray. The ViewHD client is a small form factor unit that can be attached to the back of a screen and allows multiple users to watch different movies concurrently, while the Stellar adds iPhone/iTouch/iPad control of the system and integration with third party control systems such as AMX, Crestron, HAI or Control 4 via a IP-based user interface. It also adds four concurrent analogue stereo audio outputs to the package on top of the digital HDMI output, allowing the Theatron Stellar to be serve as a movie server in the main viewing area and a music server for the multi-room audio system.
For serious movie fans the Theatron Server can accommodate 24TB of storage to hold over 1000
Blu-ray, 3000 conventional DVDs or 34,000 audio CDs.
