UK hire company Smart AV has announced that it has been awarded two significant contracts.
The company has been appointed as the official audiovisual and IT supplier to Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) 2012 and 2014.
Smart AV was the official AV supplier to FIA 2008 & 2010 and managing director Darren Poultney recognises the achievement of retaining the company’s official status. “It’s a great honour to be given the chance to prove ourselves once again on such a grand stage,” he said. “FIA is arguably the largest global airshow of its kind. We are dedicated to client support and retaining the airshow contract for another two shows is testament to our exceptional service levels.”
Smart AV has also been appointed as the exclusive preferred supplier of audiovisual and IT equipment for F&E (2008) Middle East shows until the end of 2015. These shows include the fastest growing airshow in the world, The Dubai Airshow, where Smart AV will be the official suppliers for the third time when it opens in November, having originally been the official AV supplier back in 2007.

Smart AV’s exclusive preferred supplier status includes F&E’s other industry leading events such as GESS (Gulf Educational Supplies & Services) and MEBA (Middle East Business Aviation) as well as AIME (Aircraft Interiors Middle East), GATE (Gulf Aviation Training Event) and MRO Middle East (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) all until the end of 2015.
