The AV User Group opens in Hong Kong

The AV User Group held its inaugural meeting in Hong Kong on 22 April to gain a presence in Asia, along with EMEA and the Americas, having been established in London in the late 1990s before expanding into New York in 2012.

The meeting was hosted by Morgan Stanley at their offices in the International Commerce Centre Tower, Kowloon, and presided over by Owen Ellis, the group’s chairman. It was attended by a cross section of end users from finance to leisure and included the local authority as well as local InfoComm representation.

Attendees were given an introduction to the group, received a selection of presentations from Biamp, Lumi and Logitech along with an industry roundtable discussion, and networking opportunities.

Later there were evening network drinks, with a host of regional industry suppliers also in attendance.

Owen Ellis commented: “It was always our ambition to get the group established in a location in all three regions and we were delighted with both the turnout and positive feedback from everyone who attended.”
