TDMaverick gets LG exclusive

LG's P Series Zero Client Network monitor is said to have an MTBF of more than eight years and consume 80% less energy. TDMaverick is now its exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland.

UK distributor TDMaverick says that it is giving resellers a unique opportunity to offer their customers an ideal virtualised desktop solution that is easy to install and costs virtually nothing to manage.

Maverick has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for the LG P Series Zero Client Network monitor in the UK and Ireland. The solution is said to provide everything needed for efficient virtual computing on the network whilst consuming a minimum of power. With no moving parts, there is virtually nothing to go wrong according to the company, so LG Zero Clients have an MTBF of more than eight years and management costs are substantially reduced. They are also claimed to use an average of 80% less energy (15 watts compared to the 170 watts used by conventional workstations).

Zero Client monitors have a Teradici chipset built-in, and are specifically designed to connect to VMWare View. TDMaverick says that, as well as being more efficient and easier to manage and maintain, they are also very affordable compared to alternative solutions and provide an opportunity for resellers to broaden their reach with customers.

“LG P Series Zero Client range provides our reseller partners the potential to offer customers something new and different, that will help them move towards more efficient, virtual desktop and IT solutions,” said Sid Stanley, head of Maverick UK and Ireland (pictured). “As we’re the exclusive UK distributor, this is an opportunity no other distributor can offer, and we’ll be working closely with LG to maximise awareness, create enthusiasm and get sales moving for partners.”
