Markus Portworsnick, Jürgen Bachthaler and Victor Perez (pictured) have joined TC Group International (TCGI), home to eminent audio brands Tannoy, Lab.gruppen and Lake.
Portworsnick and Bachtaler will be responsible for representing Tannoy, Lab.gruppen and Lake in the Installed Sound and Touring Sound markets within Germany.
Arriving at TCGI from Dekom Mietcenter in Hamburg, Portworsnick becomes DE market national sales manager for install products.
“Markus is the person to push us forward in this important market,” said Doug Green, v-p for international sales – install. “His organisational abilities and drive make him a perfect fit for this challenging position, and I have no doubt that he will succeed in upholding the high level of customer service and performance that our DE market partners have come to expect from us.”
Bachtaler, meanwhile, becomes DE market sales manager for touring products. A former sales manager Germany for HK Audio Concert Sound, he recently spent five years as sales manager Germany for EAW.
Miguel Hadelich, vice-president for international sales – touring, said: “Having Jürgen on board will make a significant difference to our customers, and for the brands themselves. This direct approach will mean we can offer a more comprehensive service to the German market.”
Meanwhile, Victor Perez has become national sales manager for touring and installed sound products with full responsibility for sales and suppot in the Spanish market and distributor support in Portugal. Perez has had a long and varied career in pro-audio that has included stints with Audio Stars, EARPRO, Pyramid Audio and, most recently, Pro3, where he helped to build the Lab.gruppen, lake and Tannoy brands in Spain.
Reflecting on the appointment, Hadelich commented: “Victor is the perfect addition to our worldwide touring and install sales team. He brings knowledge, drive and a great attitude to the position, and his previous hands-on experience working with the Lab.gruppen, Tannoy and Lake brands will mean he can hit the ground running and provide the very best solutions to our customers.”
