Luc Vervoort (pictured) will work to further strengthen the visual communication solutions provider’s position across Europe. In his new role, Vervoort – who is said to have a passion for video, audio and the role of technology in communications – will pay special attention to highlighting the visual communications service offering.

Having started his career with Cisco, Vervoort went on to take positions with a variety of ICT-related companies and was most recently employed by data and security vendor Juniper Networks, with responsibility for market development in Northern Europe.

“I have always been with companies operating in strong growth markets,” said Vervoort. “The same goes for video communications, an industry that is expected to grow from 1 billion dollar global sales in 2007 to a unified communications market worth 34 billion dollar in 2015. Telepresence, for example, used to be restricted to the boardroom, but is rapidly becoming available to a far wider audience, transforming the way people and businesses communicate with one another. Talk & Vision has built impressive knowledge and experience and offers its customers the services required to make visual communications a success. This offers great added value in expanding our market position in Europe.”

Considering the year ahead, Vervoort told IE: “Video communication is in full expansion: cost aspects, green IT and direct communication are key drivers. The solutions are technologically advanced, but guidance on deployment and use is key. Talk & Vision is therefore ideally positioned for further expansion in Europe, which is my mission.”
