Steljes promotes Baker

Sam Baker has moved on from her previous position in the corporate business development team at Steljes to head up its product management team.

UK distributor Steljes has announced that Sam Baker has been appointed Head of Product Management.

This is, said the company, a newly created position to cope with expansion in the Product Management Team and is an internal promotion for Baker. Joining Steljes in January 2010, Baker is said to have played a key role in the Business Development Team for Corporate solutions where she was responsible for a number of notable sales wins.

“I am excited to be promoted to Head of Product Management,” said Baker (pictured). “It is a role that will utilise my skills and experience in marketing, sales and product management. I’m looking forward to leading my team and providing our vendors with world class support to continue our expansion into existing markets and developing new markets.”

Prior to joining Steljes, Baker was a director of an AV reseller company and was instrumental in taking the company from £1.6 million to £6 million in three years. Reporting to Ian Goodhind, Commercial Director at Steljes, she will head up a team of nine people and will oversee the company’s growth strategy for its existing product portfolio.

“I am delighted that Sam has been promoted to Head of Product Management and wish her every success in her new role,” said Ian Goodhind, Commercial Director at Steljes. “As Business Development Manager, she enjoyed outstanding success and her detailed understanding of Steljes’ product portfolio will prove invaluable to her new position. Her appointment is a key step in our investment and future growth plans as we adapt our business to address the ever changing needs of our marketplace. Watch out for the launch of new products from existing and new vendors that will enable our reseller partners to enter new markets and help them grow their businesses profitably.”
