Steljes introduces T.O.M. to take AV technology on the road

The new 7.5 tonne vehicle is equipped with a range of AV solutions, enabling Steljes resellers to demonstrate at customer premises.

UK distributor Steljes has unveiled its latest aid to help its resellers demonstrate the latest in technological innovation at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester at the first of the company’s SHAPE nationwide roadshows.

Christened T.O.M. – which stands for technology on the move – the 7.5 tonne vehicle is said to have received an enthusiastic response from Steljes’ resellers.

“I think T.O.M. is a brilliant idea and will be in great demand,” said Don Mills of Corporate Upgrade Centre. “We do a number of open days at our customers’ premises and T.O.M. will be a star attraction at these events. It will enable customers to get “hands-on” experience to help them fully understand all the features and benefits of the solutions on show.”

Free to hire, the vehicle has been fitted with audiovisual and interactive solutions including:

* NEC video wall complete with Chief wall mounts
* SMART Board 885iXe interactive whiteboard appliance system
* ProofVision 42” Outdoor 42” display
* BenQ T650 65” interactive touch screen display

“Now in its fourth year, the SHAPE road show is a firm fixture in the reseller calendar and attendees for SHAPE were up 25% on last year,” said Natalie Harris, head of marketing at Steljes. “T.O.M. proved to be one of the main attractions of the event and already we have had a number of resellers wanting to hire the vehicle. It is the perfect way for us to promote our product portfolio to our resellers.”
