SMART Technologies has announced that its contract with UK distributor Steljes has been extended to include the distribution rights into the Adriatic countries of Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo.
Steljes has selected Maribor, Slovenia, as its headquarters for the region and is setting up demonstration centres in each country featuring the range of products from SMART Technologies for both education and business customers. The demonstration centres will include customer briefing and training rooms to ensure that existing and prospective customers receive the information, product training, professional development and services they may require.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Steljes and is testament to our proven track record in selling SMART solutions,” said Ian Goodhind, Commercial Director at Steljes (pictured). “We have already signed up a number of resellers in each country and will be using our expertise, commitment and support capabilities to help them accelerate the adoption of SMART products in both the education and business sectors.”
“SMART has developed a very strong working relationship with Steljes over the last 15 years, where their core skills as a value-add distributor, along with the industry knowledge of their people, and market reach in the UK has helped make SMART the leading brand of interactive displays in the country,” said Patrick Lelorieux, Vice President and General Manager for EMEA, SMART Technologies.
“We are pleased to extend the company’s distribution across the Adriatic region. With SMART education products and Freestorm visual collaboration solutions enabling increased collaboration in both classrooms and meeting rooms, we see a great opportunity for Steljes to help improve learning outcomes for students and increase productivity for businesses across this new region and are confident the company will replicate its UK success throughout the Adriatic countries.“
