Stampede president to talk at InstallFutures about drone technology

Kevin Kelly, president, COO and owner of US distributor Stampede, is to speak at InstallFutures on 29 September on the subject of drone technology.

In one of two technology showcases taking place during the conference, Kelly will present the business and technological opportunities afforded by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) – more commonly known as drones – before being quizzed by a panel of industry experts.

Kelly has arguably done more than anyone to alert the pro AV world to the business potential of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drone-based video systems. In 2014 Stampede introduced a UAV product line that is now the largest and broadest within pro AV. He has also forged a strategic alliance with Unmanned Vehicle University, setting the stage for enabling dealers to combine product offerings with comprehensive educational programmes that lead to certification for drone pilots.

Under Kelly’s leadership, Stampede staged the industry’s first Drone Pavilion at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, in partnership with InfoComm and Unmanned Vehicle University,

“I’m very pleased that we have secured Kevin’s services for InstallFutures,” said Paddy Baker, editor of Installation. “We hear a lot about UAVs as an important future technology in the pro AV world, and there’s no-one better qualified than Kevin to explain how the AV industry can profit from the drone revolution.”

InstallFutures takes place on Tuesday 29th September at BAFTA in London. Registration begins at 9:00 and the conference finishes at 4:30.
