Smart Building Conference returns for London edition

With a sell-out attendance at this year's ISE already under its belt, the Smart Building Conference will return in 2013 - this time the day-long conference will be held at Dexter House, London, UK.

The Smart Building Conference will make its return this year after not-for-profit association owners CEDIA and InfoComm announced the event will come to London on 15 October. It will be held at Dexter House, a state-of-the-art conference facility located in the heart of the City of London.

The new date and location will come some nine months after the inaugural Smart Building Conference, which took place at ISE 2013 in Amsterdam, drawing a sell-out attendance of over 150 professional delegates.

The London event is being given a more local focus, with speakers encouraged to present case studies, market-research data and keynote addresses inspired by trends in the UK market.

Topics under discussion will include building automation, energy management, security and access control, IT facilities integration, HVAC and lighting control, and much more.

“After an extensive period of industry consultation, we are convinced that smart buildings represent a fantastic opportunity for the professional AV and electronic systems integration industry,” commented Mike Blackman, managing director, Integrated Systems Events.

“The ability of AV professionals to integrate the disparate technologies in a building into an efficient, manageable and scalable system is without parallel anywhere in the construction business. We see the Smart Building Conference as the premier forum in which our community can learn about the opportunities that are available to it and how those opportunities can best be exploited.”

Crestron has already been confirmed as the Smart Building Conference’s first Platinum Sponsor.
