UK integrator Saville Audio Visual has appointed Stuart Davies as business development manager HE. Davies was previously head of media services at the University of Wales, Newport, and briefly held positions at Essex and Cardiff Universities. He has worked on new builds, large complex installations as well as traditional lecture/teaching room design and installations.
Over a number of years, Davies has vice-chaired SCHOMS (Standing Conference for Heads of Media Services) a body of AV managers working within UK higher education, where he worked closely with both manufacturers and AV companies.
Davies held the position of chair of the audio visual group of HEPCW (Higher Education Purchasing Consortium of Wales) from 2004 till August 2011. He was one of the technical advisers on the framework group, and sat on two consecutive awarding panels in 2005 and 2009.
“I am looking forward to my new role at Saville Audio Visual and the exciting challenges that lie ahead,” said Davies. “I will be using my wide experience to further expand the reputation and service from this well respected company.”
