European moving light manufacturer Robe lighting has expanded its Middle East operation with the formation of Robe Middle East Trading.

European moving light manufacturer Robe lighting has expanded its Middle East operation with the formation of Robe Middle East Trading.

Robe’ new branch will operate from a recently-opened regional HQ in Dubai after it was decided the city was a major epicentre for shows, events and spectaculars and also offered a central location.

The company says this is the first part of its current planned medium term expansion strategy, the initial stages of which will be rolled out over the next three months. The company has experienced a positive 12 months in the region: stating ‘a steep increase in business in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar , as well as other countries.’

Robe Middle East will be headed by Robe’s middle east regional sales manager, Elie Battah. The new branch will distribute the full Robe ranges of moving and digital lighting fixtures and Anolis architectural LED products, driving the presence of both these premium brands across the region.

Robe’s Sales Director Harry von den Stemmen commented: “This move gives us an even stronger basis and better communication channels throughout the whole of the Middle East and enables us to plan the future with real confidence. We are expecting rapid growth and we are already moving fast with several new projects”.

Dubai was chosen as it is a major epicentre for shows, events and ‘spectaculars’ and for its central location ideal for deploying equipment quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively to other countries. A host of rental and production companies and designers are also based there and it’s an easily accessible business destination.
