An offshoot of the established, biennial SIB entertainment technology exhibition, SIB Forum is a new, annual conference designed to bring the worlds of entertainment and integrated systems together in an education and networking environment. The first SIB Forum will take place at the Rimini Fiera on Italy’s Adriatic coast from 18-20 October.
Massimo Toni, business development manager for Rimini Fiera, says: “The attention and direct involvement of both ISE and InfoComm confirm the high profile of the SIB Forum project, only a few weeks after we announced the dates of the first edition. We aim to bring together professionals from the installation, systems integration and show-business markets, with a format that combines a seminar schedule with a limited number of [exhibiting] companies representing these markets.”
The format of SIB Forum, which Toni says is unique to the Italian market, has been designed to appeal to architects, systems integrators, installers, lighting designers, AV rental companies and construction industry professionals. There will be a minimum of 16 seminar sessions held over the three days, and up to 30 manufacturers promoting technology solutions from the sectors in question.
Further details of the seminar programme will be released in due course, but subjects expected to be addressed include such emerging fields as digital signage and architectural lighting.
