The C View Nightclub on the new Stena Vision ferry – one of the largest in the world – features an RCF audio system supplied by Polish distributor Arcade Audio.
Owned and operated by Stena Line, Stena Vision works on the Karklskrona-Gydnia route alongside the Stena Baltica.
Numerous entertainment facilities populate the lower decks of Stena Vision, with one of these areas – the C View Nightclub – recently installed with an RCF loudspeaker system featuring four NX M12-As, four 4PRO 8003-As, two Art 715As and, for the DJ booth, three Art 310As.
“To get the possibility to be part of an installation on one of the biggest ferries in the world is a nice challenge,” said Renata Klimek, president of Arcade Audio, which supplied the RCF system for this project. “You need a system that is flexible and at the same time delivers the sound to be focused on the dancefloor. Also, the RCF system was chosen between several systems, is a perfect solution and now the big waves are made on the dancefloor”.
RCF’s Kenneth Bremer told IE: “Stena Vision is an impressive Cruise Ferry and later this year the new sister ship Stena Spirit will follow. For the C View bar it was very important to get a compact sound system installed that could deliver a high sound pressure, but also to be able to control the sound in selected areas of the bar and especially the dance floor. Several systems were tested but the RCF NX delivered the best result.”
